CBD What is it?

A safe, natural compound from Hemp, with 12,000 years of continuous safe use around the world. Not psychoactive, not illegal, but very healthful.

You may have heard about “CBD” (Cannabidiol) in the news. It’s the wonder compound found in legal Hemp. Good for many things, from epilepsy to inflammation, strokes to schizophrenia, pain to sleep. But it’s not brand new, we are just discovering it now. Found mostly in Industrial Hemp, it’s the thing that stops seizures in children.

You may have heard about it from CNN’s Dr Sanjay Gupta. Thousands of studies and hundreds of patents attest to the effectiveness of CBD in humans and animals. Many of the CBD patents are by our own federal government, trying to keep it quiet to reward Big Pharma.

CBD is non-addictive, non-habit-forming, non-intoxicating, and is legal.

It’s known to kill cancer cells and inflammation of all kinds. It helps many liver and brain issues, including schizophrenia, depression, concussion, TBI and CTE, seizures, tremors, pain, and anxiety.

Humans and animals have been safely consuming CBD for at least 12,000 years, maybe longer. Since it’s in Hemp, when people or animals ate Hempseed they were getting a little CBD, from the resin stuck to the outside of the seed shell. In fact, historians think Hemp was mankind’s first cultivated crop. Hempseed has been used as food or oil continuously all these millennia, from China to Africa, Japan to Europe, the Americas to Australia.

Many kinds of CBD products are available, but the makers won’t be able to discuss dosage or treatments with you, because the FDA prohibits it.

However, many other organizations are able to do so, on Facebook and elsewhere. CBD products include tinctures, capsules, pills, oils, waters, drinks, and increasingly, many different foods as well.

To try CBD, start low and go slow, then increase until it feels right. A few drops or a capsule before bed. You’ll notice more restful sleep, less pain and inflammation, and a feeling of well-being and calm.

While it can help acute stages of cancer, most types also need high doses of THC for that, the Cannabinoid found in Marijuana. If you take a medicine with the “Grapefruit Warning” on the label, take your CBD hours apart from it. If you have any fear or questions, consult your doctor, especially before changing a medicine regimen. Don’t worry, CBD won’t make you “high”!
